I rarely right review, I give stars usually, but not review. I give this company A++++ on everything, communication, product quality, fast shipping and amazing customer service.
Thank you for replacing my lost battery so fast. I will buy again.

I had this battery hooked to a solar panel to keep it charged , i used it for my winch on my car hauler, for jumping several cars off , this battery was a beast , I lost it in the floods, but hope to buy another one at some point ,

They just arrived today, both had 13.05 charge.
Sadly the packing gave it's life but the batteries were fine. Impressive size, weight and build quality.
Ill update over time.
Update, still working hard for me with no noticeable loss in capacity or discharge rate. At this point in time, I am pleased with this purchase.
Another update : they still take a full charge and provide more than adequate power for my needs. I would recommend these two batteries.
4.5 yrs later and they still are putting out plenty of juice! Solid performance. At the 3 yr mark i did buy and use the BC1220 VMAX to rejuvenate them but only a slight improvement because they have been charged well by my solar system.

awesome batteries. Only have had them for a few months, but have already been on several camping trips where we were totally off grid and these babies supplied the necessary power to keep things going for a few days before they showed signs of use. They charged right back up and haven't disappointed yet.

Bought eight batteries in 2015 worked good for 6 years.

Installed 2 of these in 2017 (now 2024) in my 5th wheel camper. We boondocked hundreds of nights with these and our solar panels over the years. Finally they're getting a little weak. We used these hard, through cold nights and cloudy days. I'm switching to Lithium, but really pleased with how well these held up.

Got two of these bad boys last summer for a camper van solar system. Have them hooked up to a 400w solar kit, and they provide power to led lights, a diesel heater, an inverter, 12v charging ports, a maxxair fan, and soon a 12v alpicool fridge. I havent had a single problem with them so far, plugged right in with a full charge.

Wow, these things are big and heavy (not unexpected, but still). No doubt the plates are thick and large, which gives it the weight, and means they didn't scrimp on materials. Reading 12.97v right out of the box, so I imagine that's close to a full charge.
Big tip for off-grid use: You never want to mix and match batteries for your battery bank; same brand, same voltage, same Amp-hour capacity. This will maximize their life. And try to buy all you need at the same time. Adding new batteries to existing old batteries doesn't work all that well.
Normally, regular flooded lead acid batteries are the cheapest way to go for off grid use, but these are not that much more expensive, and it's certainly worth not having to deal with checking water levels and dealing with explosive and corrosive fumes. In reality they are not fully sealed, but they will not leak or lose water. You don't want to enclose them with electronics because of the potential buildup of hydrogen gas. If you use these on a boat you will have to keep them in a separate ventilated container away from ignition sources, or you will not pass Coast Guard inspections.
Judging from the ratings I don't expect a problem, which is why I bought these instead of cheaper batteries, but like everything in life, time will tell how long they last.
I bought this as part of an emergency power backup and my system should be able to run my fridge 24/7 if I calculated everything correctly. I might even set it up to power the fridge regardless and try to save a little off my electric bill. Yeah, I know, don't expect much of a drop. Going solar is expensive and you certainly don't do it to save money. It IS good, however, for emergency power as well as remote locations without grid power. I'm a bit of a 'prepper' (don't really like that term) from living in hurricane country most of my life (I've since moved but still like to be prepared for the unexpected). If you've ever been a week or so without power you understand where I'm coming from, and gas for a generator can be tough to find when all the gas stations are closed for lack of power to run their pumps, and if you do find some open, they usually ration how much you can buy, so you have to keep running back for more. Just ask people who went through Hurricane Sandy.

These have been performing so well I had to buy more. I'm currently using 4 of these batteries and 1KW or solar to keep my entire kitchen off-grid. Very impressed with the build quality. I'll add a video review I did on these and my setup ( http://youtu.be/q-wTUEVQiDA?t=8m8s ) Will be buying more of these in the future, may even replace my car batteries next time with Vmax brand, just love them!
Make sure you have a place for the fed-ex guy to drop a pallet, yes I'm talking "beep beep beep, ca-chunk" pallet. These guys are 90+ pounds each, the poor guy/gal is not going to walk up with 4 in hand :)
If you're using these for solar, buy double what you think you'll need, your investment will last a lot longer that way and give you some wiggle room on consecutive cloudy days.

I have been using these batteries for 9 years. I wanted to retire the first 4 I bought and expand my system. Those first 4 still work but discharge a bit faster than they use to. Not bad for 9 years in constant service. Now I have 16 of these in my system and during a grid down situation, I live like a Prince!

One simple phone call to VMAX ended up being one of the best customer experiences I have ever had. Caleb and the team were quick answer some of my technical questions regarding my choice for the second set of VMAX charge tanks and even quicker to ship them out. my first set of VMAX chare tanks were the agm extreme 12v 155AH, they were installed in my motor home as the house bank back in 2017. this bank has held a quality charge for the last 7 years of use. for charging and maintaining and inverting we utilize a 3000w pure sign wave inverter charger set for the proper charge/float voltage. we also use it to invert from 12v to 120v. also we run a 40amp mppt charge controller to harness 400w of solar to help the off grid charging. we have input 300kw via solar charging back into our first VMAX bank. simply for the age of the first bank we decided to replace with a new set. with the simple call to Caleb at VMAX his knowledge led me to the agm SLR12-155 tanks, that would suit are application with the same reliability. VMAX usa has been nothing but great to me and my family and will continue to use their products.

I can absolutely recommend this product for RVs. This ran our entire motorhome for two days, reasonable use, including 1500 watt inverter, and barely touched it. Did not even have to connect the solar panel, never ran the generator.

I bought 8 of these batteries for my off-grid workshop and dojo. I am running a 2700 Watt solar farm to feed them, managed by a Magnum Power charge controller and inverter. My system has been in operation nearly a year. So far, so good. I run a mini fridge 24/7 and in the winter I ran one ceiling fan to circulate the heat from a ventless LP heater. All lighting is LED. For cooling in the summer I have screened windows and ceiling fans with open, screened doors-hey, this system just wont support A/C. But it runs all my 120vAC shop tools with no problems. Most woodworking is waiting for glue to set or for the finish to dry so I don't press these batteries too hard. I never discharge them below about 70%. When I am training in the dojo, at my age, I don't run the lights and fans more than about 3 hours. I am planning on many years of service before replacement.

Wow. If you're looking for no nonsense, never fuss, safe, heavy duty solar batteries, stop looking. You found them right here. I have two separate battery banks getting their energy from separate panels. Both systems are the same except for the batteries. One system has 14 marine deep cycle batteries from Wally World and the other these VMAX. No need to check the levels and adding distilled water or checking specific gravity. These guys are sealed. I charged them to 100% before wiring them together in parallel. I'm running a 10,000 watt pure sine wave inverter on each system to keep my refrigeration refrigerated and anything else I need to or want to run off of these two systems. Just ordered another 8 to replace those 14 marine dc batteries. There is absolutely no comparison. Set these guys up and you can rest easy for the next 10-12 years. If you're into solar or getting into it, buy these. It's a chunk of money but well worth it. You are getting what you are paying for.
