2- If it does, measure the output voltage of your charger or controller to ensure it is in good working condition (14.4V-14.9V). If it does not, please replace it.
3- Charge the battery for 15 hours. Disconnect the charger and measure the battery voltage. Voltage should measure over 13.3V, then will drop to 12.95V-13V after a couple of hours of disconnecting the charger.
4- If it does, apply the appropriate load for 5 minutes (or use a load tester -if available). Disconnect and measure voltage after 5 minutes. If the voltage is less than 12.7V, please file your claim. If not, check your load, cables and/or inverter.
How to Initiate a Warranty Claim
To ensure the fastest possible processing of your claim, VMAX utilizes a structured Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. Please follow the steps below to begin your request.
Step 1: Submit Your Request
Please email our support team at [email protected] with the subject line: Warranty Claim Request - [Your Name]. To prevent delays, your email must include the following information:
Proof of Purchase: Date of purchase and Receipt/Order Number.
Authorized Dealer: Name of the dealer where the product was purchased.
Product Details: Model Number and Serial Number.
Problem Description: A brief explanation of the technical issue.
Logistics: Preferred times for a carrier pickup (if applicable).
Step 2: Technical Review & RMA Issuance
Once your information is received, a VMAX specialist will review your claim. Upon approval, you will be issued a unique RMA Number and detailed shipping instructions. Do not ship any products to VMAX without a valid RMA Number.
Shipping & Logistics Policy
The logistics of your return are determined by the timeframe of your claim and the battery technology:
Claims within 60 Days of Delivery: For AGM batteries, VMAX USA will provide a prepaid return shipping label and cover the cost of shipping the replacement unit.
Claims between 61 Days and 1 Year: For AGM batteries, customers are responsible for return shipping. VMAX USA will provide access to discounted shipping rates and will cover the freight costs of the replacement unit.
Lithium Batteries: Due to strict Department of Transportation (DOT) shipping regulations, all Lithium batteries must be returned by the customer. VMAX USA will ship a replacement unit upon approval of the claim.
Important Terms and Conditions
Condition Requirement: All returns must be free of physical damage, neglect, or unauthorized modifications. Products showing signs of abuse cannot be warranted.
Packaging Responsibility: The customer is responsible for ensuring the product is adequately packaged for transit. VMAX is not liable for damages incurred during return shipping; any such claims must be filed by the sender with the carrier.
Inspection Period: Products received with physical damage will be held for 30 days. These may be returned to the customer at their expense, subject to freight and handling fees.
Processing Time: Approved warranty exchanges are typically processed and shipped within five business days of receiving the defective product.
Damaged products cannot be warranted and will be held for 30 days. You may request the battery to be returned subject to paying freight and handling fee, including all shipping and packaging costs.
Approved returns will be exchanged within 5 business days of receiving product.
VMAX USA will pay for returning and shipping back new replacement.
VMAX USA, LLC will not be liable or responsible for any expenses for transportation, installation, loss of time, punitive or any other expenses which would be considered as incidental or consequential damages, such as installation cost, lost profit, towing, testing or damage to property other than the battery.
Failure due to any of the following will void warranty: Abuse, physical damage, neglect, improper maintenance, bulged cases from heat, fire, insufficient charging, overcharging AND/OR the removal of manufacturer codes or serial numbers.
