I have small 12' pontoon boat on a lake where only battery motor propulsion is allowed. I use this with a Minn Kota Endura MAX 50 motor. I have to say I'm surprised by the longevity of a full charge. I've gone out for 2-3 hours and used the motor pretty much continuously and it barely put a dent in the charge. My battery meter on the motor still reads "full". A smaller battery would've been fine, although I take the battery off the boat every time to recharge. If someone could make these darn things lighter - I'd be a happy man, because it's heavy! I like the built in carry straps on it - makes it easier to move around, but I put the battery in a Newport Vessels Trolling Motor Smart Battery Box - which has carrying handles. It seems like a great battery.
