A quick tip: check the directions before you start. The BC61210ARC is a bit different than older chargers because you need to select your battery mode on the screen after plugging it into the wall, but before you hook up the leads. Once you get that down, it’s very reliable. I’ve used it on my trailer’s small lead-acid breakaway battery, my Jeep’s starter battery, and a LiFePO4 backup bank. The SAE quick-disconnect system makes it easy to swap between the ring terminals and the alligator clips. It’s compact, the backlit screen is clear, and the built-in safety features work as advertised.

This VMAX unit is much more portable than my previous 10-amp charger. It covers all my bases since it works for lead-acid, AGM, and the newer lithium batteries. The 6V mode is also a nice bonus for golf cart maintenance. It’s a simple one-button setup, though you do have to pick your battery chemistry before connecting the leads to the battery. The display is clear and gives you the actual voltage and amperage readings instead of just a 'charging' light. The clamps are a good size for car batteries. Overall, it’s a smart investment for the shop.

Before you replace a dead battery, give this a shot. My 2018 car battery was basically toast from sitting too long and being drained too often. I hooked this VMAX up for a few days based on some online testing I’d seen. It worked better than expected—even after leaving the car for two weeks, it started up without any struggle. It saved me a couple hundred bucks easily. The digital display is helpful for seeing the status. Overall, it's a reliable piece of gear to have in the garage.

I have several different batteries in service, so finding one charger that handles both lead-acid and LiFePO4 is a big plus. The BC61210ARC switches between chemistries easily, which saves me from owning multiple units. The digital display is also helpful; it shows the current voltage and charge level so you know exactly where things stand. It’s a solid, functional tool for the garage.

I use this for several different vehicles in my shop. It’s compact enough to stay out of the way, and the 10A charge is plenty for what I need. The DC power supply mode is a handy addition; I’ve used the adapter a few times to test 12V electronics on the bench. The display shows the voltage and charge level clearly, so there's no guessing. The build quality is solid, and the quick-disconnect leads make it easy to swap between the alligator clips and the permanent ring terminals. It’s been a good investment.

Perfect little maintainer for the shop. It comes with everything—alligator clips for quick jobs and ring terminals for a permanent mount on my UTV. The adaptive charging is great; I feel totally comfortable leaving it plugged in full-time. It handles Lithium and AGM easily, though you do have to manually toggle the mode for each. I prefer to set the battery type on the screen before I hook up the battery, but either way, it’s a rugged, reliable charger. No complaints!
